Language learning platform Promova has won in the Language Learning category of the EdTechX Awards 2024. The jury noted the platform's "steady revenue growth and strong business model." According to Promova CEO and co-founder Andriy Skrypnyk, recognition from the EdTech community opens up more opportunities for partnerships with other prominent businesses. It also allows for more active development of the B2B segment, where such recognition plays a key role in attracting customers.
"My team and I know that Promova is a cool product that users appreciate. They leave high ratings and great reviews in stores and even write me personal messages about how the app has changed their lives. However, recognition of this level from the professional community is another level, which makes it possible to make sure that we are on the right track in terms of business operations. It is extremely gratifying that the professional jury emphasized ‘stable revenue growth and a strong business model’. I am grateful to each and every person who works on Promova. Becoming an EdTechX Awards 2024 winner is all thanks to the team that is actively developing the product," says Andrii Skrypnyk.
Promova is a personalized language learning platform launched in 2019 by Boosters from the Genesis ecosystem. Currently, the number of monthly active users is 1.5 million, and the total number of downloads is 15 million. With the app, you can learn the language on your own, and you can also attend online classes with language mentors, group classes, and conversation clubs.
In 2023, Promova became one of the first products in Ukraine's national program to promote the English language, Future Perfect. Earlier that year, Promova became the first language learning app to launch Dyslexia Mode; this is a special mode that changes all fonts on the platform to Dysfont, a specialized font that makes text easier to read and helps people with dyslexia learn languages.
EdTechX Awards are granted to winning EdTech companies every year as part of London EdTech Week. As part of the awards, leaders are recognized in 15 different categories. The winners are determined by an expert jury. The main criteria are the innovations and impact that companies use to improve education, training, and work.
